Public transport after holidays
On 2 September 2013 some changes will be introduced in public transport. Bus and tram lines which have been suspended due to holidays as well as due to some investments implemented in Warsaw will operate again. Substitute bus lines 313 and ZS1 and tram lines 45, 77 and 78 will no longer operate. New timetables will be effective from 1 September 2013 for 51 bus lines and from 2 September for 12 tram lines
Buses
On 1 September the fixed route of line 174 will be reintroduced (towards the ZACHĘTA loop), changed due to the fact that CENTRUM and ŚWIĘTOKRZYSKA underground stations have been closed during the holidays. Buses will run on the following route: BOKSERSKA – … – Grzybowska – Królewska – pl. Piłsudskiego – Moliera – pl. Teatralny – Wierzbowa – pl. Piłsudskiego – Królewska – ZACHĘTA.
On Monday, 2 September, the following lines will be reintroduced: 201 (KOŁO – NOWE BEMOWO), 304, 319 (METRO WILANOWSKA – PKP JEZIORKI), 394 (URSUS RATUSZ – URSUS NIEDŹWIADEK), 460 (ZAJEZDNIA STALOWA – METRO RATUSZ ARSENAŁ), E-4 (TARCHOMIN – METRO MŁOCINY) oraz E-8 (NOWODWORY – METRO MŁOCINY). The following school and shortened lines, suspended during holidays will operate again 120, 162, 163, 164, 211 i 411.
Line E-6 will not be available during morning rush hours due to the reintroduction of lines E-4 and E-8.
Line 517 will not operate on shorthanded routes on the URSUS NIEDŹWIADEK – PL. TRZECH KRZYŻY section. At the same time, additional on-demand stops PKP POWIŚLE 01 and 02 for line 517 will no longer operate.
Substitute bus lines 313 and ZS1 will not operate.
From 1 September the following bus lines 105, 108, 109, 114, 126, 131, 132, 136, 139, 141, 152, 156, 160, 170, 171, 172, 174, 181, 185, 186, 189, 190, 191, 205, 212, 326, 422, 500, 501, 504, 507, 509, 511, 519, 523, 527, E-2, 701, 708, 709, 710, 712, 713, 714, 715, 719, 724, 727, 729, 739 oraz 742 will have new timetables.
Trams
On 2 September the following lines will be reintroduced 14, 25, 27 and 28.
Tram lines 1, 4, 35 and 37 will run on their usual routes:
- 1 – BANACHA – … – Rembielińska – Annopol – ANNOPOL
- 4 – WYŚCIGI – … – Rembielińska – Annopol – ŻERAŃ WSCHODNI
- 35 – NOWE BEMOWO – … – Marszałkowska – pl. Zbawiciela – Marszałkowska – pl. Unii Lubelskiej – Puławska – WYŚCIGI
- 37 – one direction only: SŁUŻEWIEC – … – al. Jana Pawła II – ks. Popiełuszki – Słowackiego – METRO MARYMONT.
“Dwójka” will operate according to the current timetable which is during rush hours on working days.
Substitute lines 45, 77 i 78 will no longer operate.
From 2 September the following tram lines 3, 6, 9, 10, 17, 22, 23, 24, 26, 31, 33, 41 oraz T will operate according to new timetables.
Underground
From 2 September the underground will run according to the timetable which have been effective before holidays. On working days, during morning rush hours, trains will appear on the stations nearly every 2 minutes 50 seconds, during afternoon peak times every 3 min, whereas during non-rush hours nearly every 4 minutes 10 seconds. On Saturdays the underground will run nearly every 5 minutes 50 seconds and on Sundays nearly every 7 minutes 15 seconds. At nights between Fridays and Saturdays as well as between Saturdays and Sundays the underground trains will appear on the stations till 2.30 AM every 15 minutes.
Fast City Rail (SKM)
From 2 September, due to the end of the construction works of the city-cross line, SKM trains lines S1 and S2 will run on their usual routes. Rail substitute lines S10, S11 and S20 will no longer operate. Detailed information on SKM trains and their routes is available here
